Ebola outbreak इतना तेजी से क्यों बढ़ रहा है?

WHO के अनुसार outbreak के तेजी से फैलने के पीछे कई factors हैं। संक्रमित मामलों की पहचान में देरी होने पर households, communities और healthcare facilities में आगे transmission का risk बढ़ सकता है। Contact tracing में gaps, healthcare access की कठिनाइयाँ और प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में insecurity भी outbreak response को जटिल बना रही हैं।

31 अगस्त तक outbreak छह provinces और 60 health zones तक पहुंच चुका था, जबकि Ituri province इसका प्रमुख epicentre बना हुआ है।

Physiotherapy की भूमिका कहाँ आती है?

Physiotherapy Ebola का इलाज नहीं है और active infection के दौरान routine physiotherapy नहीं की जानी चाहिए। लेकिन recovery के बाद कुछ मरीजों में लंबे समय तक कमजोरी, muscle deconditioning, reduced mobility और रोजमर्रा के काम करने में कठिनाई हो सकती है।

Medical team की clearance और उचित infection-control protocols के बाद physiotherapy में व्यक्ति की clinical condition के अनुसार graded mobility, strengthening, balance और functional rehabilitation जैसी interventions उपयोग की जा सकती हैं।

सबसे बड़ी चिंता क्या है?

इस outbreak में केवल virus ही चुनौती नहीं है। WHO ने insecurity, delayed detection, healthcare access और contact tracing जैसी समस्याओं को भी outbreak control के लिए महत्वपूर्ण बाधा बताया है।
